Vague feedback is often worse than no feedback at all.

When someone tells you โ€œ๐’Ž๐’‚๐’Œ๐’† ๐’Š๐’• ๐’ƒ๐’†๐’•๐’•๐’†๐’“โ€ or โ€œ๐’Š๐’• ๐’…๐’๐’†๐’”๐’โ€™๐’• ๐’‡๐’†๐’†๐’ ๐’“๐’Š๐’ˆ๐’‰๐’•,โ€ it leaves you guessing. Guessing leads to wasted time, unnecessary edits, and frustration on both sides.

No feedback means you at least move forward with your best judgement. Vague feedback stalls progress without giving direction.

What Iโ€™ve learned is this:

  • Constructive feedback is specific.

  • Helpful feedback explains the why, not just the what.

  • Clear feedback respects both the work and the worker.

Vagueness doesnโ€™t improve outcomes.ย

Clarity does.
